OnSI is an independently-owned podcast and digital publisher for Staten Island, New York, with a focus on sharing uplifting and positive local stories that celebrate what makes our hometowns extraordinary places to live.
OnSI is an active member of the Local Independent Online News (LION) Publishers initiative, a collection of 300+ organizations across the United States and Canada, supported by the Democracy Fund, Facebook Journalism Project, Google News Initiative, and the Knight Foundation.
While OnSI is a new publisher in New York City, our team is not new to the borough. We’ve each spent years covering Richmond County, living here, working here, and establishing relationships from Tottenville to Tompkinsville, and everywhere in between.
OnSI’s coverage relies on our Funders, Tom and Suzanne Crimmins, the Owners of Tom Crimmins Realty, who support our mission to tell stories that matter to locals. For Tom and Suzanne, this is yet another way they give back to the Staten Island community.
